Background
The manufacturer Kis Quarries collaborated with Marrison Hydraulics to design and manufacture a safe, large diesel hydraulic trommel screening plant. This high-capacity mobile trommel is capable of screening up to 2000 tonnes of rock per hour.
The Project
Marrison Hydraulics worked closely with the director of Kis Quarries in the design and selection of all key products used in the project. The project was delivered on time, and Marrison Hydraulics provided insightful commissioning support.
Marrison Hydraulics supplied and fitted the heart of the machine, which comprised a self-bunded 40FT container-based power unit. This included the key components:
- Cummins X15 600HP diesel power plant
- High flow Danfoss hydraulic system capable of 1300LPM and pressures up to 5000PSI, meeting the MDG15 mining specification
- Design and engineer 2500lore capacity hydraulic tank
- Fire suppression system
- Replaceable panel type air filter system
- KIS Plant intelligent PLC control system to improve production by monitoring all control systems and offering users greater flexibility to adjust
Other works included:
- Supplying and fitting the trommel and associated equipment
- Supplying and fitting all hydraulic drives, tubes, and hoses, all meeting the MDG15 mining specification
- Assembling and fitting all the mechanical drive systems for the entire project
- Installing the entire automatic greasing system
- Communicating at a high level, filling in many blanks for Kis Plant and offering solutions while working with boilermakers, fitters, electricians, fire suppression personnel, and safety personnel
- Managing various personnel, including boilermakers, fitters, electricians, fire suppression personnel, and safety personnel, at different times throughout the project
- Developing a complete set of manuals for the project, including operator and safety manuals, prestart procedures, hydraulic system documentation, Cummins engine details, service manual, spare parts list, and RR apron feeder gearbox, SEW reduction boxes, Bearings, Automatic greasing system, Load Scan product weighing system
This is the third trommel built over the years in conjunction with this customer.
